How to make the craftsman‘s work more efficient with environment- and climatefriendly products?

5 % of the global CO2 emissions are caused by the production of cement, which is the most important ingredient of traditional tile adhesives. In total, this accounts for the release of 3 billion tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. Only a tile adhesive of considerably reduced cement content can therefore be called environmentally friendly.

Innovative hybrid polymer technology. Ceresit succeeded in taking this step forward with the new tile adhesives CM 120 EcoFlex and CM 125 EcoExpress S1 featuring innovative hybrid polymer technology.

While conventional tile adhesives consist by up to 50 % of cement, the new high-performance products CM 120 EcoFlex and CM 125 EcoExpress S1 are based on a combination of two binders, resulting in a clearly reduced cement component. For the most part, the products now consist of an alternative binder with reactive mineral fillers.Thanks to the greatly reduced cement content, it is possible to significantly cut the CO2 emissions in production and thus reduce their impact on global warming. At the same time, the use of hybrid polymer technology ensures a clearly improved performance.

Advantages that speak for themselves


CM 120 and CM 125 cure four times faster than standard tile adhesives and thus save precious time at the construction site. After just about 3 hours, the freshly installed floor is ready for foottraffic and grouting.


Whether at 3°C or 23°C: our new adhesives cure fast at all temperatures while it takes classic tile adhesives four times as long. This ensures rapid work progress on site – independent of the weather.


Both CM 120 EcoFlex and CM 125 EcoExpress S1 are almost shrink-free. Especially with large formats, there is a lower risk that tiles later come off the substrate or cracks form in the joints.


Thanks to hybrid polymer technology, the new highperformance tile mortars are available in a lighter colour. Also sensitive natural stones can be installed without the risk of staining.


Compared to cement-based tile adhesives, the dust produced when mixing the mortar is reduced by as much as 50 %.


CM 120 and CM 125 adhere to a wide range of possible substrates, even to calcium sulphate screeds. They do not require time-consuming pretreatment with a moisture barrier primer.


The new hybrid polymer adhesives are paste-like and easily workable. Their consistency can be adjusted to either wall or floor application.
