CERESIT® CM 11 mortar is used for fixing ceramic tiles (glaze, terracotta), porcelain stoneware, cement and stone tiles (except marble), on non-deformable substrates, such as: concrete, cement screed, cement plaster and cement-lime plaster. Can be used indoors. In case of deformable substrates such as: plasterboard, chipboard, heated floors, balconies, terraces, use appropriate CM adhesive mortars.Available pack size: 5 kg, 22,5 kg, 25 kg
Before applying CERESIT CM 11 make sure to properly prepare the substrate. The substrate must not be wet and cement and concrete screeds must be fully cured prior to application. Any existing dirt, loose debris and coatings should be removed mechanically. Surface unevenness of up to 5mm can be filled on the previous day using CM 11 tile adhesive.
Mix CERESIT CM 11 (25kg) with 5L to 5.5L water using a slow speed drill until homogenous mass without lumps is obtained. Leave for 2 minutes and then mix again.
Apply CERESIT CM 11 with a suitable notched trowel on the substrate, size of trowel teeth depends on the tile size. For indoor use, adhesive should cover at least 65% of the tiles back side. For outdoor use, the back-buttering method should be followed to cover at least 90% of the tiles backside. Place tiles only during open time of adhesive.
CERESIT CM 11 is suitable to be used for indoor tile application which includes wet areas with periodic water penetration such as bathrooms, kitchen, toilets, and utility rooms like cellars, corridors, stairs, living rooms and similar. CM 11 is also recommended for outdoor areas, such as balconies and terraces and is used for ceramic, vitrified, porcelain, mosaic, granite and sand stone tiles.
CERESIT CM 11 is a universal cementitious tile adhesive with very low emissions for indoor and outdoor areas to permanently install tiles on: cement and cement-lime plasters, cement screeds and concrete substrates, light weight AAC and concrete blocks, and insulation materials like wood-cement boards and soundproofing panels in indoor areas. In outdoor areas CM 11 is recommended to be used on Gypsum and anhydrite substrates.
The application of CERESIT CM 11 should be carried out in dry conditions at an air and surface temperature ranging between 5°C to 40°C.
