SUBSTRATE PREPARATION FOR APPLICATION OF CERESIT DX

MIXING OF CERESIT DX

For the preparation of a 25 kg (55.12 lb.) bag, measure and pour 6.5 litres (72 gal) of water in a container. By stirring up, slowly add a CERESIT DX bag. Use a mixer or a drill with 650 rpm-speed fitted with appropriate blades or disks. Mix for 2 minutes, stop the mixing, scrape the walls and the bottom of the mixing vessel and mix for 2 more minutes until you get a smooth mixture free of lumps.

APPLICATION OF CERESIT DX

Pour the self-levelling mixture by sections and uniform parts immediately in a given area depending on the expected performance and in accordance with the calculated thickness. Apply the levelling compound with a toothed squeegee or smoothing trowel to achieve a uniform thickness. Pass a roller repeatedly in both directions; this also helps to have a better product distribution. Let it dry for about 4 to 6 hours for foot traffic, and 24 hours to apply the desired finish.
