CERESIT® CL 83 Ultratape wall sealing collar is used in combination with elastic CERESIT® waterproofing products (e.g. CL 50, CL 51, CL 71 and CL 72) for 15 mm Ø pipe penetrations for solid ceramic tile sealing. Available tape size: 120 mm x 120 mm.

The substrate must be solid, dry, clean and free of substances that may impair adhesion. A few isolated cracks in the screed do not cause a problem as long as the crack edges are level. Before applying the CL 83 membrane, pipe penetrations as well as wall and floor connections (gullies etc.) should be waterproofed with the pre-fabricated CERESIT system components.
The wall pipe collar CERESIT CL 83 is placed between the layers of sealing materials. The first layer should be applied, then the collar should be pulled over the pipe and around the pipe penetration or floor drain and immersed into the second layer of the sealing material.
After installing the membrane on wall areas, ceramic tiles and slabs can be fixed directly without any waiting time or further priming coat.
The membrane is suitable for the installation of ceramic tiles and slabs on critical substrates as well as for the removal of tile coverings.
CERESIT CL 83 is a trouble-free alternative to liquid-applied waterproofing products for the composite waterproofing of balconies and terraces and wet rooms.
In the seam/butt area, the membrane strips must overlap by at least 5 cm. The joints must be bonded with FT 101 to ensure a waterproof seal. The sealant is applied void-free along the edge of the first membrane strip. Within the open time, the second membrane strip is placed next to it and pressed down in the overlapping area.
