CERESIT® CM 16 Express is a quick-setting tile adhesive mortar that is particularly suited for renovation works and when time is of the essence. The mortar allows pedestrian movement and grouting after just 3 hours from the moment of gluing the cladding. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor application and can be used for most types of tiles and substrates. It works well in places exposed to intensive traffic and utility loads.Available pack size: 25 kg
Pour the contents of CM 16 Express into the measured amount of clean, cool water.
Mix with a drill and mixer until obtaining a homogeneous mass without lumps. Wait 5 minutes and more mix once. If necessary, add a small amount of water and mix again.
Spread the mortar over the substrate with a trowel with the appropriate size of teeth or, in the case of greater thicknesses, using a trowel. When the tiles will be exposed to moisture and frost and when the thickness mortar under the tile will exceed 5 mm should be added apply a thin layer of mortar to the mounting surfaces of the tiles.
CERESIT CM 16 EXPRESS works well in places exposed to intensive traffic and utility loads such as: passageways, corridors, schools, markets, shops, restaurants, etc. It can be used indoors and outdoors, in residential and general construction.
CM 16 Express is used for fixing ceramic tiles (glaze, terracotta, gres), cement and natural stone (insensitive to discoloration) tiles on substrates such as: concrete, cement screed, cement and cement-lime plaster, heated floors.
Work should be carried out in dry conditions, with air and substrate temperatures between +5°C and +25°C.
